About Sam

Sam is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and the founder of Kaahoots Therapeutic Services. He has 15 years of practice experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families with a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns.

Sam has worked across education, health, private practice and non-government settings. His clinical experience includes supporting people from many backgrounds, cultures and family contexts, including Australian First Nations people.

Sam’s approach is practical, relational and flexible. He works collaboratively with clients and families to understand their needs, build emotional and behavioural skills, and develop therapeutic support that fits the person’s context.

Sam draws on a broad range of psychological and therapeutic approaches. His work is trauma-informed, family-aware and tailored to the needs of each client, with a focus on safety, stabilisation, emotional regulation and practical change.
