Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?

No, you can book directly without a referral. If you would like to access Medicare rebates, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session focuses on understanding your concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. Your psychologist will work with you to develop a clearer understanding of your current challenges, discuss recommended treatment approaches, and begin building a supportive therapeutic relationship tailored to your individual needs.

What are your session fees?

Session fees vary depending on the clinician you see. General Psychologist appointments are currently $230 per session, while Clinical Psychologist appointments are $260 per session. With a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, Medicare rebates may be available. The current rebate is $98.95 for General Psychologist appointments and $145.25 for Clinical Psychologist appointments.

Where is Wisemind & Body located?

Wisemind & Body is located in Southport on the Gold Coast within the Pacific Private Clinic building.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes, we offer secure video telehealth appointments across Australia, allowing clients to access support from the comfort of their home.

Do you accept DVA, WorkCover, or third-party referrals?

Yes, we support eligible clients through DVA, WorkCover, and a range of insurer or third-party referral pathways.

How soon can I book an appointment?

Appointment availability can vary depending on clinician schedules, though we aim to offer appointments as soon as possible.
