DVA Psychology Services

Military life can involve high pressure, frequent relocations, long periods away from family, and exposure to traumatic events. These experiences can continue to affect mental health long after service has ended.

We support clients with:

  • Post-traumatic stress and trauma-related difficulties
  • Anxiety, panic, and chronic stress
  • Depression and low mood
  • Adjustment to civilian life and identity changes
  • Relationship and family challenges
  • Social withdrawal and isolation
  • Sleep difficulties, nightmares, and hypervigilance
  • Substance use and coping difficulties

We also work with partners and family members of veterans, who may be impacted by these challenges.

Wisemind & Body is located in Southport on the Gold Coast, with in-person appointments available for eligible DVA clients. Telehealth sessions are also available for veterans and families who prefer to access support from home or across Australia.
