How therapy can help

Therapy that is practical, respectful, and tailored to you

Therapy is not just about talking through problems. It can help you understand patterns, build coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, improve relationships, and make choices that feel more connected to your values.

Your psychologist will work with you to understand what has brought you to therapy, what you would like to change, and what kind of support is likely to be most helpful.

Understand what is keeping you stuck

Explore the thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and life experiences that may be maintaining distress.

Build practical coping skills

Learn strategies for managing anxiety, stress, mood, boundaries, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm.

Work towards meaningful change

Therapy can support gradual changes in daily life, relationships, work, study, and personal wellbeing.

2

Attend your first session

Your psychologist will ask about your concerns, background, current difficulties, and goals for therapy.
