Sam Whybrow
Mental Health Accredited
Social Worker

Over the past 10 years I have dedicated my career to help my clients.

In particular, I assist children, young people, adults, and their families (where appropriate) who have concerns and disorders relating to stress, anxiety, eating, trauma, substance use, depression, attention deficits, autism, complex trauma and PTSD.

I studied a Bachelor of Social Work at Deakin University, graduating in 2011. Feel confident knowing I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Throughout my career, I have engaged in psychological support for children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. With a number of specialist training opportunities, I am confident that I can provide evidence-based psychological interventions tailored towards my client’s needs. A list the specialist training I have completed can be found on my personal page.

My clinical experience has included social work roles within Education Queensland, Queensland Health, private practices and other non-government organisations. I have worked with children, adults, and families of many different backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities, including Australian First Nations people. I have also led a range of teams and services, including roles as Clinical Manager of a perinatal and pre-natal mental health service in Ipswich, and Clinical Manager of Headspace centres.

When l’m not at work, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family (both human and animal family) at home. I have a number of dogs that I work with to provide families with Animal Assisted Therapy where appropriate.

Please note, I prefer schedule and organise appointments directly. You can contact me via email at kaahoots@outlook.com or phone 0400 157 834.
